Dornie in Bloom

A meeting was held on Tuesday 9th March and a number of people expressed interest.  It was agreed that we should start small and not be over-ambitious.  The first two areas we would look at were the entrance to Dornie at the main road, and the two walled areas that were created when the road in the village was re-done.
We’ll get in touch with the Council/Transerv to make sure they’re happy about the plans to plant some snowdrops and crocuses along the lines of the trees on the Inverness side of the junction and to put tubs at the foot of the Welcome to Dornie signs on both sides of the junction.
Someone is getting costs for the tubs and a piece will go in Criomagan in the Free Press to see if anyone wants to donate snowdrops in the green for planting.  So if you have bulbs to donate please get in touch.  If we manage to get some money to buy bulbs then we’ll have a planting day which will be advertised and all volunteers will be very welcome.
Others have asked about developments in Ardelve and other parts of the community council area and all suggestions and volunteers are welcome.
Email to volunteer or for further information.
